Q: What is the msrp for a shelby uplift on a gt mustang?
I’ve been to many dealerships lately and I am interested in getting a shelby gt. I saw identical cars at two dealerships and one was $39,000 while the other was $48,000 and the only difference I could find was the cost of the shelby uplift which they claimed was $10,000. I’ve heard that the uplift is only a fraction of that and I was wondering if anyone knew the actual msrp of the shelby uplift.

Q: Does anyone know where I can find a 1967 Mustang Shelby GT 500 Model Car?
My husband is looking for a 67 Mustang Shelby GT 500 model car. He wants it to be unfinished ( he wants to put it together and pain it himself) He also wants it to be the plastic kind, not metal. I have found cars on ebay but they are either metal or already put together and painted. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!
I’m thinking maybe they didn’t make the plastic kind you can build yourself. Anyone know?

heyy i just got a shelby gt (still 315 hp) and i was wonderin if i could put the fog lights on a mustang gt on my car? If not, where could i put fog lights on a shelby?
A: You could probably put them on there, but they would look pretty stupid sitting on top of the Shelby grille, instead of recessed like on the GT. You could swap on the GT grille, it would look a little better, but I still think it would take away from the car. On the Shelby CS6 they put two small foglights on the grille and I think they actually look pretty good, so I’d say that’s probably you’re best bet. Another thing that might work is to cut out some holes in the honey comp plastic pieces on the lower valance and try to mount some foglights there, that might actually look kind of cool. Q: why do people call the 1967 shelby mustang gt 500 eleanor?
Im having an argument with my cousin. he thinks that the famous 1967 shelby GT 500 is nicknamed “Eleanor” because its an old car and thats an old name and I thought the name was derived from a mythical creature? any help settling argument?
A: In the 2000 remake of the movie “Gone In 60 Seconds,” the characters must steal 50 cars. To keep the police from knowing that they are stealing cars, they gave each car a girl’s nickname.
So, if a cop heard them say they were “off to go get Eleanor,” the cop would suspect they meant a girl, not a car. Eleanor was the name that the 1967 Shelby GT500 was called in the movie.
So, because of the movie, people call 1967 GT500’s “Eleanor” (especially the ‘67 GT500’s that are designed specifically to look like the car from the movie).
P.S. In the original Gone In Sixty Seconds movie from 1974, they used a 1973 Mach 1 Mustang as Eleanor. But, since it was just a normal Mustang, and not custom-modded like the ‘67 GT500 from the remake, the name only caught-on to 1967 GT500’s.

in regard to the new models, holy hell. the super snake package comes with an unwarranted 725hp, and warranted 600hp or so. that’s enough of a reason for me to get one. if i could afford it. they bring much style, speed, and luxury all at once.
The classic Shelby GT500’s still rule out there on the road. there’s nothing like the raw feel of a classic Shelby. They may not have the horsepower of the newer ones, but still are amazing cars. A buddy of mine had a ‘67 Shelby, and said that his Porsche had nothin on that Shelby of his.

i plan to salvage a junkyard Mustang GT manual transmision and rebuild it to exact specifications of a Shelby GT 500. I am going to take out the engine and buy and brand new Shelby GT one. But i need to know every year that ford made the body styles of those two cars the exact same. can you tell me the years or where i can find this information.
A: Ok, first you cannot rebuild a GT mustang transmission to the specs of a GT500. They use completely different transmissions. GTs prior to 2011 have 5 speeds and automatics, while the GT500 uses a 6 speed. They don’t share any parts. Second, a crate GT500 engine is way too much money. They are like, $15,000 for a 500hp engine. I could build a 4.6L for 1/2 that to make about the same power, and be lighter. As for what years they are the same, the GT500 came out in 2006 I believe, and that body style came out in 2005.

A: 1967 GT500’s are very rare cars, and most of them are in museums. So a real one would likely set you back about $200,000-$250,000. But you could get a 1968 GT500 for about $100,000 since they aren’t as rare. There are also GT500 clones that are regular Mustang built to the same specs as a Shelby Mustang for much less money. Clones are a great idea because you don’t need to worry as much about keeping it in impeccable shape if you like to drive it.

A: The Eleanore was built from a Shelby GT500 which was built from a Mustang Fastback. So, you can get an Eleanor from either car — the Fastback would be a cheaper start.

It is not really ‘modifications’ that are done, since it comes right off the assembly. It has a different powertrain than the regular Mustang (4.0 V6) and the Mustang GT (4/6 V8)
It has a supercharged 5.4 V8 w/ intercooler.
