Q: What is a reasonable price to sale my Ford SVT Cobra Mustang?
2001 black, convertible, excellent condition except a few small chips on the hood from the previous owner, cold air intake from K and N. Ford MACH 5 sound system. Everthing else is all stock. 73K miles.
I went throught the whole car and change out all of the fluids because they seemed to be a little old. I went and did the full tune up, change all the filters through out. I intended on keeping this car but now we have a baby on the way and is now pointless for my wife to even try to get in it.
Long story short, I bought it from a dealership, paid too much, tried to treat it like a baby and now it’s time to sale. Help me find a price to sale in Southern California.
A: First question, do you owe on it? If so, than that is your bottom selling point (unless your upside down). I know its going to seem dissapointing, but KBB says its worth about 14,800. I used the good price because I’ve yet to see a car with 73k that in my eyes was excellent. I baby my cars too, but 73k of driving will put some wear on the exterior of any well maintained vehicle especially a vert. I used San Diego as the city, so who knows. The problem with your car (not that its really a problem) is that it looks like a “Terminator” but isn’t supercharged. I’d put it at 17 and see if you get any bites. The 03-04’s are fetching 25k so maybe you’ll find someone who wants the look but not the extra sticker price.
Q: 1998 Mustang SVT Cobra speed????????
I found a 1998 mustang SVT Cobra for sale. Its got a procharger and tons of other stuff making it have 479 HP at the wheels. They said it ran 12.3. Does that sound about right? Also – I am just curious what the 0-60 time would be for a car like this. I know its a pointless figure but just curious.
also what would you pay for a car like this? Its in perfect condition and has a little under 90 thousand miles
A: mid 12’s is about right for a mustang with this power – depending on tires & driver.
0-60 is again subject to driver abilities, tires and overall set up….but expect it should be well under 5
the 03/04 terminator series cobras (factory supercharged, 6 sp. narrow gate transmission) were rated at around 400HP and run 0-60 in well under 5, do the 1/4 in 12.9 (stock).
i would only purchase this car based on a full mechanical ck by a pro shop (compression test, review of the supercharger installation, brakes, suspension, etc).
i assume the car also has an aftermarket clutch and bigger rear end gears.
if the car has been properly set up, and has been pro tuned post supercharger installation i would think in the range of $12,000 would be reasonable price….if all cks out ok. it would likely be worth more if it had a better supercharger installation – modified twin screw design like a kenne bell or whipple (they are more expensive but deliver power earlier & in more linear fashion)
cheers 04 cobra (2.3 whipple blower @ 15lbs, 60lb injectors, BAP, fuel rails, MAFia, magnaflow exhaust system, some other stuff, pro tuned to run on 94 octane – measured at 575rwHP on dyno)
Q: Is there such thing as a 1965 Mustang Cobra?
I found a real nice mustang for sale and im not sure if this is a original grill and parts. It says it is a 1965 Ford Mustang Cobra. But me and others aren’t sure if they were made.
I found a real nice mustang for sale and im not sure if this is a original grill and parts. It says it is a 1965 Ford Mustang Cobra. But me and others aren’t sure if they were made. Also the car was dark blue on the outside and had white interior. It was a coupe not a fastback. Also it had a 289 under the hood. Originally it had a 4 speed transmision but the owner took it out and had a 5 speed put in.
A: uhh no
Q: i need to find 1960 to 1969 cobra mach1 jet mustangs for sale from $2500 to $6000?
i need it all original stock and emitioned
A: good luck with that. (sarcasm)
you can’t in that price range unless it’s a wreck.
Q: Can you put an 03′ Mustang Cobra supercharger on a 99′ Mustang Cobra?
I have a 99′ Cobra almost stock w/90000miles. I would like the extra power the 03′-04’s have. What do I need for the conversion if it can be done? Should I do a rebuid first? I’ve seen just the supercharger for sale and ones with the whole intake, injectors, and wireing. Do I need the whole thing?
A: you will need the whole engine since they are special built to take the extra hp
Q: Is $7000 a reasonable price for a 2000 Mustang GT?
The silver mustang is on sale from a private seller. The mustang has a cobra bumper, cobra hood, and cobra rims.

Q: 03-04 Mustang Cobra Supercharger?
I saw in the local classifieds a stock supercharger up for sale…I’ve always thought about soopin’ up my stang more. So I thought, “would I be able to slap in a ‘terminator’ supercharger in a 2000 mustang v6?
A: With the correct attachments….yes. If it was for a V-8 you will need to change the blower pulley. The v-8 boost would be too much for the v-6
Q: Why did Camaro and Trans Ams sales slip, compared to the Mustang?
How did the Camaro and Trans Am’s sales fall so low that GM cut production?
For about the same price as the Mustang, the Camaro and Trans Am were always a bit more powerful. (Even the 1999-2004 Mustangs only had a 190 HP V6 and the a 260 HP V8, While 1998-2002 Camaros and Firebirds had a 200 HP V6 and a 305 HP V8 engine. Still the 2007 Mustang GT falls short of 5 HP than the 1998-2002 Camaro, which is several years older).
Mustang enthusiast had to buy the more expensive Mustang Cobra to have comparable times to the base Camaro z28 and Trans Am.
With the Camaros and Trans Ams being more powerful, how is it that they’re production numbers fell?
A: For one thing, some corrections are in order.
The question shoud be phrased with “Firebird” not “Trans Am” because that was what the base model was.
Additionally, you claim the Mustang was available with up to 260hp, but then you mention the Cobra. Why do you make that distinction, yet you don’t make it for the WS6/SS packages? You’re not comparing apples to apples, especially considering the Z/28 and Trans Am’s base engine was around 285hp. This can also be argued when you point out the older Camaro makes more than the current GT. What about the Shelby GT? GT500? GT500KR?
The F-bodies sold in combined numbers that were not equal to the Mustang’s. Why was that?
For one thing, the Mustang’s core buyers were women. The Mustang was not overstyled like the F-bodies, so visibility was better, ingress/egress was better, and it was just a more comfortable car.
Meanwhile, the F-bodies were clearly targeted to men. And when they got that insurance bill, they often decided to get another vehicle – in many cases, pickup trucks with RWD.
The plant in Canada that built these cars were better utilized to building cars were GM could make a decent profit, which was very important because GM was not in great shape at the time. Blaming bean counters is not telling the whole story, and I don’t blame GM for getting rid of the cars – they just didn’t have the resources to redesign them, especially considering they needed to sell a certain amount that just wasn’t happening. But time heals wounds, and we all know the Camaro is coming back.
Horsepower is not the clincher in the sales wars. The F-bodies were difficult cars for a large percentage of auto buyers, and their needs were better met by the Mustang or smaller, more practical sport coupes.
Q: Used Ford Mustang GT500 Cobra 2007, Thinking of buying, what should the Price be?
I tried to use Blue book and it said they could not get a price on one of them. Ford dealer wants $40,299. That still very close to the price for a new one is. It was like new really, but its way over price me and my dad and even the sales thought. What do you think the price should be?
10,000 on it
A: I would deffinately not pay more then $36,000. I can find a bunch from private sellers that have half the milage and they are asking between $35,000 and $38,000. If I were you, I would take a look at private sellers. Since you will be buying a car that has so few miles on it and you buy from an adult you know the car wont be abused and the factory warranty will still be present. Not only will you find a car for a lot less but on top of that you will save thousands because you wont have to pay sales tax. You are probally looking at saving at least $5,000 by going with a private seller.

A: ebay, motors, replica cars has a bunch of them.
Q: Escrow service for private party out of state used car sale?
I’m in California selling a Mustang Cobra, The buyer is in Michigan.
I have heard of escrow services that act as a neutral 3rd party, holding the title and payment until the sale is completed.
Can someone explain this process and maybe recommend an escrow service ?
Dude, I’ll be arranging it. It’s done with ebay sales on a regular basis to avoid scams.
I didn’t say it was an ebay service, I said it’s done with ebay sales, those who buy and sell on ebay commonly use a 3rd party escrow service.

———–
This is news to Ebay. They don’t have their own escrow service.
Coincidentally, people get scammed on a regular basis. Hmmm.
